of July, an appellate court said Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Circuit Court of Appeals <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.cafc.23105\/gov.uscourts.cafc.23105.51.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">granted<\/a> the Trump administration&#8217;s request to pause a lower court ruling that blocked the tariffs pending appeal. The appellate judges scheduled oral arguments in the case on July 31, meaning the tariffs are set to\u00a0stay in effect until then unless there&#8217;s further court action in the case.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Court of International Trade <span class=\"link\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/court-strikes-dow-trumps-liberation-day-tariffs-ruling-them-illegal\/\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\">ruled last month<\/a><\/span> that many of Mr. Trump&#8217;s signature tariffs are illegal, including the 10% tariffs on virtually every U.S. trading partner \u2014 with higher &#8220;reciprocal&#8221; tariffs on dozens of nations \u2014 and a set of tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China.
